Last week I satisfied my craving for the creamy sweetness of frozen desert with Guilt Free Cherry Banana Ice Cream. This weekend I had the same craving, but didn’t have any dark sweet cherries. Not to worry, blackberries saved the day!
It’s impossible not to love this ice cream. It’s PURPLE. It has no added sugar or fat, and it only has three simple ingredients. With this delicious desert, you can say goodbye to sweet calorie bombs full of processed ingredients and hello to whole food, plant-based snacking at its finest.
- 2 frozen bananas
- 12 ounces frozen blackberries (I used fresh blackberries and froze them myself)
- 1/3-1/2 cup unsweetened plain almond milk
- Chop frozen bananas into 1 inch pieces. Add to a high speed blender or food processor with the blackberries and almond milk.
- Pulse to chop the frozen fruit up a bit, then blend on high for about 60-90 seconds, using the tamper of your blender to push any chunks towards the blades. If you're using a food processor, you will need to pause once or twice to scrape the sides down.
